 Brownless

Jane Brownless  was my my 5 x Great Grandmother. She was born in Darlington c1772. The IGI shows the baptism of a Jane Brownless in Darlington c1772 but no parents names are given. I believe her to be the daughter of Thomas Brownless and Ruth Rowland, but am still trying to prove it.

She married Jonathan Wallis on the 6th of October 1789. Durham Marriage Bonds show -
2 October 1789 Jonathan WALLIS, 21, tailor of Darlington, Jane BROWNLESS, 18 of Darlington, Robert Marshall, butcher of Darlington. Ruth Brownless, widow X is her mother and consents. This implies that she was born c1871.
