Born around 1783 in Richmond. Ann Barker was christened at Richmond, near Leyburn on the 23rd of May 1784 - father
Thomas Barker, mason.
She married Ralph Spence on 31 December 1810 in Richmond near
Leyburn, Yks. (IGI)
She was widowed in 1844.
According to the 1851 census was living in Gilling, Yks. with daughter Grace and family and listed as a pauper.
Died on the 15th of January 1854 aged 72 years. Buried at Gilling on January 18th 1854. Buried alongside husband Ralph and other Spence family members. Ann Spence wife of John Spence died 14 September 1875 aged 54years also John Spence died 7 June 1892 aged 72 years also Ralph Spence died 4 July 1844 aged 58 years and Ann his wife died 15 January 1854 aged 72 years.
