John Jamerson McNeill

(4/1886-11/26/1938)

John Jameson McNeill was the oldest son of Charles Alexander McNeill. He was born in New York City on Apr 15, 1887. The 1900 census says his birth occurred in Ireland but all other documents confirm New York City.

John married Sarah Graham and their known children are

John's life ended tragically when he committed suicide after murdering a young lady he had left his family for. She, being 20 years younger than he, had tried to end their relationship. In a New York City office building he shot her and then turned the gun on himself. A length article appeared in the New York Times and can be found at the link provided.
