     Carol Ann Martin was born on 15 August 1942 at Malvern, Carroll County, Ohio.1 She was the daughter of Edward Nelson Martin and Oranna McNutt.1 Carol Ann Martin died on 21 March 2008 at Union Hospital, Dover, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, at age 65.2,3 Her obituary read, "Carol Immel, 65, of Dundee died Friday, March 21, 2008, in Union Hospital, Dover, following an apparent heart attack on Wednesday.
Born Aug. 15, 1942 in Malvern, she was a daughter of
Clarence Edward Martin of Uhrichsville and the late
Oranna McNutt Martin. Carol was a homemaker, a loving
wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren were
truly her joy. Carol attended New Life Center Ministries in Barnhill. She enjoyed singing, and in years past was asked to perform at various different churches. She liked going shopping and also collecting angel figurines. In addition to her father, Carol is survived by her husband, Merlyn Immel, whom she married on Aug 30, 1963,
in Sugarcreek; a daughter, Donna (Tom) Thomas of Dundee; a son, David (Theresa ) Immel of Dover; four grandchildren, Justin and Kimberly Thomas and Brian and Brandon Immel; three sisters, Mary (Dave) Abbuhl of Massillon, Naomi Martin of Uhrichsville, and Darleen (Dave) Berry of New Philadelphia; four brothers, Bill Martin of Bolivar, Sonny (Ruth) Martin, Eddie (Jane) Martin of Strasburg and Dan (Karol) Martin of New Philadelphia; and several neices and nephews. Beside her mother, Carol was proceded in death by a sister, Gloria Bailey. Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, March 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service for Carol will be held Tuesday, March 25, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Fred Battles officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover. Following the commital, there will be a meal in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard. Charlene was a 1963 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. Following graduation she married the love of her life, and husband of 46 years, Gerald "Jerry" Zurcher on June 16, 1963. Charlene loved the Lord and knew he was her Savior.

which contained wildlife, and helping others. Charlene also had a passion for animals and cared for her pets as if they were her own children. For a number of years Charlene was employed as a seamstress for the former D&D Prince Beaderman, and Bobby Brooks sewing factory prior to starting her own cleaning company, CZ's Best Cleaning which she and Jerry operated for 18 years prior to retiring. In addition to her husband and mother, Charlene leaves behind a family that includes four brothers. Gene Martin, Dwight Martin, Jimmy (Chris) Martin, all of New Philadephia and George (Tony) Martin Jr. of Canton; three sisters, Donna Linard of New Philadelphia, Doris (Jim) Hass and Ruth M. He His obituary read, "Clarence E. "Sonny" Martin 1941-2010. Clarence "Sonny" E. Martin, age 68, of New Philadelphia went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 23, 2010, following a lengthy illness. Born at East Sparta, O., on June 14, 1941, Sonny was a son to the late Edward Martin Sr. and Oranna (McNutt) Martin. Through the years Sonny was employed by a number of area firms including the former Union Cheese at Baltic where he served as a supervisor for the company. Sonny loved the Lord and enjoyed ministering to others. He loved to share Christ's love through the use of song and was known for his talent as a gospel vocalist. Additionally, he loved his family and being a friend to anyone he encountered and never thought twice about starting up a conversation with a stranger and sharing stories. Sonny will be deeply missed by his wife of 48 years, Ruth M. Martin; a son, Jeff Martin of Warren, O; two daughters, Ruth Ann (Stephen) Moles of Canton and Debra Walker of Marysville, O; siblings, William (Barbara) Martin of Bolivar, Darlene (David) Berry of New Philadelphia, Mary (David) Abbuhl of Massillon, Naomi Martin and Daniel (Karol) Martin, all of New Philadelphia; a brother-in-law, Merlyn Immel of Dundee; and a sister-in-law, Jane Martin of Strasburg. Two granddaughters, Heather Mann of Georgia and Misty Thomas of Strasburg; two grandsons, Christian Walker of Georgia and Gary Walker of Florida; two great-grandsons as well as numerous nieces and nephews complete the family. In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his stepmother, Norma Martin; a brother, Edward Martin Jr; and two sisters, Carol Immel and Gloria Bailey. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services, on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Martin Sr., age 93, of Uhrichsville, OH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover. He was welcomed
home by his wife, Oranna (McNutt) Martin, his two daughters, Carol Immel and Gloria Bailey, and his only sister, Edna Norris. Ed was born March 7, 1915, in Canton, OH, to the late George J. and Edna O. (Hastler) Martin. He was a member of the 11th Street Church of God
in Uhrichsville. His life was spent serving the Lord and working to raise his children. He loved music and ministering to people. He also was an avid gardener and woodworker. In addition to his wife, daughters and sister, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Harold and Harvey Martin, and three great-grandchildren. Ed is survived by three daughters and four sons, Clarence "Sonny" and wife Ruth Martin of Dover, Carol (deceased) and her surviving husband, Merl
Immel, of Dundee, William and Barb Martin of Bolivar, Gloria Bailey (deceased), Darlene and David Berry of New Philadelphia, Edward and Jane Martin of Strasburg, Mary and David Abbuhl of Canton, Naomi Martin of Uhrichsville and Daniel and Karol Martin of New
Philadelphia; 42 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his "adoptive family," Dave and Linda Gubanez and their four daughters of Bloomingdale, OH; also two special nieces and their husbands, Shirley
and Jim Price of Roswell and Carol and Ray Dull of New Philadelphia.
At Ed's request, there will be a graveside funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens just off St. Rt. 39 in Dover with Pastor Earl Miller of the 11th Street Church of God officiating. No other visitation will be observed. At the family's request, contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. 3rd St., Dover 44622. Hospice was always there for Ed and his family, day or night. Thank you for your love and support.

     Edward Nelson Martin Jr. was born on 5 July 1948 at Dover, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.1 He was the son of Edward Nelson Martin and Oranna McNutt.1 Edward Nelson Martin Jr. died on 26 October 2009 at Union Hospital, Dover, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, at age 61.2 His obituary read, "Edward Nelson Martin Jr., 61, of Strasburg, died Monday, October 26, 2009 in Union Hospital at Dover following complications from a bee sting. A son of the late Edward Nelson Martin Sr. and the late Oranna (McNutt) Martin, Ed was born July 5, 1948 at Dover, Ohio. On December 26, 1969, Ed married the love of his life. the former Jane Barnhart. The couple reared four children, Edward III, Trisha, Ronald and Anna. He was employed as a crane operator at Union Metal at Canton and was a member of the Sandy Valley Eagles Lodge. Ed was a true sports fan. He was an avid supporter of the Stasburg Tigers and The Ohio State Buckeys in
addition to watching various sports on television. Ed enjoyed spending time with his sons while repairing automobiles as well as spending time with his grand-children. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years. Jane Martin: his children, Edward (Amanda) Martin III of

     Gerald Dean Martin was born on 29 November 1937 at New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.1 He was the son of George Henry Martin Sr. and Anna Marie McNutt.1 Gerald Dean Martin died on 12 August 2009 at at his home, New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, at age 71.1 His obituary read, "Gerald Dean Martin, age 71, of New Philadelphia
died early Wednesday, August 12, 2009, in his home with his family at his side. A son of Marie (McNutt) Martin and the late George Martin, Gerald was born in New Philadelphia on Nov. 29, 1937. From 1955 to 1958, Gerald served with the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Nellis Air Force Base at Las Vegas, Nev., and Indian Springs Air Force Base, also in Nevada. During his enlistment, Gerald served as part of the Air Police Squadron No 3595. On June 16, 1968, Gerald married the former Judy Ferrell and together they raised four children. Gerald was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and
working in his vegetable garden. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes and attending dog races. Gerald was also very handy at fixing broken items around the house and could most often find a use for many items which others may discard. In addition to his mother and wife of more than 40 years, Gerald is survived by a daughter, Crystal Martin, and three sons, Erik Martin and Dean (Dena) Martin, all of Las Vegas, Nev., and David Martin of Rohnert Park, Calif; four brothers, Gene (Millie) Martin, Dwight Martin and Jimmy (Christy) Martin, all of New Philadelphia and George (Toni) Martin Jr of Uniontown, O; and four sisters, Donna Linard of New Philadelphia, Doris (Jim) Haas, Ruth (Sonny) Martin and Charlene (Jerry) Zurcher, all of Dover. Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren complete the family. In addition to his father, Gerald was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Pat Martin, and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, from 9a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Jim Lewis will lead a service celebrating Gerald's life in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Those unable to attend are encouraged to send the family condolences by visiting the funeral home's online guest registry. Memorial contributions in Gerald's name may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. 3rd St., Dover, O., 44622."2
