Keirns, 87, of Millfield Route 1 was dead on arrival at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital early Thursday. Born in Athens County, he was a son of the late Marvin and Sarah Keirns. He had spent all of his life in Athens County. He was a retired coal miner and farmer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Tippie Keirns; a daughter, Mrs. Orpha Morgan, and two sons, Webster and Otis.
Surviving are his second wife, Edith Duncan Keirns; nine daughters, Mrs. Glenna Mohney, Mrs. Doris Evener and Mrs. Lucille Bateman, all of Millfield, Marie, Eileen and Rebecca Keirns, all of the home, Mrs. Mae Showers of Athens Route 1, Mrs.
Carol Gaston of Athens and Mrs. Rose Vamos of Athens Route 3; five sons, Willis of Chauncey, Dan of Millfield and James, Clarence and Thomas, all of the home; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Stella Love of Millfield Route 1; four brothers, Fred, Gilbert, Walter and Carl, all of Millfield Route 1. Services will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Hughes Funeral Home by the
Rev. Fred Crabtree. Burial will be at Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Saturday."1 He was buried at Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, Athens County, Ohio.1,2,3
