James got a grant in 1718 and was in London Grove Township until 1750.  A John Todd appears in London Grove in 1749 and 1750 and may be a son of the older James.   A Hugh Todd appears in the 1750 tax list for Londonderry Township.  John, James and Hugh do not appear later.  I am leaning towards believing that he is the James Todd who appears in York Co in 1753 based on geographical proximity and time sequence.

Reportedly born in what became Campbell Co., TN; Census says b KY.  Married in Cocke Co TN.  Drafted in Cocke Co, TN for War of 1812.  Moved to Jamestown, Moniteau Co, MO ca 1828. This Jesse is NOT Jesse of Rutherford Co.  But he is associated with Isaac Todd in Campbell Co and Low Todd lived in Campbell Co.

Son:  Tilman Todd.   DNA matches no Todds.  There is also a Preston Todd b 1805 TN who settles near Jesse in MO in 1840 whose  DNA matches the Mary Todd Lincoln family which together with the geographic evidence suggests that Jesse is also from the MTL group of Todds, probably son of James or John Todd, sons of Low Todd d 1792.

William J b 1811=>Lawrence Co TN, Presley Newton b 1814, Bennett D b 1818=>Lauderdale Co AL.   DNA idicates connection to Cornelius Todd d 1750 Northumberland co VA.  And John B Todd of Lincoln and Shelby Co TN. They are sons of William Todd b 1741 who came to Rockingham Co NC by 1780, son of Cornelius Todd me 1739 Richmond Co VA, d 1750 Northumberland Co, VA.
