| JESKEY | JAMES EDWARD JESKEY James Edward “Jim” Jeskey, age 89, of Murfreesboro died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at his home. He was born Jan. 15, 1918 in McKees Rocks, Pa. to the late Edwin J. and Mary COVERSTONE Jeskey. Jim began an airline career in 1941 with Pennsylvania Central Airlines as a radio operator, at Washington National Airport. Upon the company merging with Capital Airlines he was promoted to flight dispatcher, working at Dulles International Airport. His entire career spanned 41 years, culminating in his promotion to the position of Area Operations Manager of the Western Division of United Airlines, in San Francisco, Calif. Upon retirement in 1982 he donated his time to the American Theater Organ Society, the Retired United Pilots Association, and the Episcopal Church, of which he was a member. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Barbara WOLCOTT Jeskey; daughters Patricia Jeskey of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mary Kay Jeskey of Murfreesboro; Joann MAGNUSON of Lavergne; and Barbara (CLAYTON) SULLIVAN of Christiana; granddaughters Kelly, Caroline and Victoria Sullivan.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Theater Organ Society, P.O. JOHN JULA HAMPTON - John Jula, 81, died Saturday, July 1, in Veterans Administration Medical Center. A native of McKees Rocks, Pa., Mr. Jula had been a Hampton resident since 1951. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1951 after 27 years and from civil service at Fort Monroe in 1967. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. Survivors include his wife, Miriam F. Jula; two daughters, Nancy J. CROFT of Arlington and Linda M. SAUNDERS of Hayes; one son, John Jula Jr. of El Paso, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are incomplete. R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home is in charge. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
