ICKES HERBERT WILLIAM ICKES
Funeral services for Herbert William Ickes, a locomotive engineer of 719 Bouquet street, McKees Rocks, who died Friday in Mercy Hospital, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Clever and Stover funeral home, 534 Island Avenue, McKees Rocks. Mr. Ickes was an employee of the Montour Railroad 20 years and had been a resident of McKees Rocks 37 years. He was a member of the IOOF, Knights of Pythias and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Loretta MINDER Ickes; six sons, Harry, Charles, Wade, Hubert, Robert and Herbert; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth BYRON, Lorretta RODGERS and Mrs. Rosella SUMMERS, and four grandchildren. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Lutheran Cemetery.  Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Dec 22, 1941
