McCully & Savage Research

This website is the family history of my paternal and maternal family lines, the McCully's and the Savage's. From time to time I enjoy looking at old photographs and going through old documents and other papers that have information in them about my ancestors. This website is a place for me to store all those things together in one place so they don't get lost or discarded. I also have some pages listing the programs and tools I've used to make this website and lists of places I've been on the web, so I can refer back to them in the future. The website is also to share with my descendants and to share with all the other researchers in these family lines that are interested. If it wasn't for my ancestors and other family members and researchers I wouldn't have all the information that I have today. I want to thank all of you that have helped in sharing and collecting this information.

If your visiting my website and you should find any kind of data that has come from your own research and is not being credited to you, please contact me and let me know. When I first started my research, I didn't realize that I should write down all the sources my information came from. I have been trying to retrace my steps but with so much information sometimes things get overlooked.

If you are visiting my website and would like to contribute information or photos, please contact me.

NOTE: This website is far from being done. I have alot more information and am trying to add it as time allows. If you are interested in any of the families listed here in my website but don't find what you are looking for, please drop by another time and check to see if the information has been added.

Why Do We Search For Our Ancestors?

I search for my Ancestors because I loved and still love my parents, my grandparents and everyone else in my family whom I have ever known. I want to know and to learn about the flesh in which I came from, from the ancestors I never met.

As long as we remember those that have gone and treasure their memories they will still live within us. I can't just let those that I have loved go on forgotten in history.

I want to keep their memories alive, and by doing this I research. I research where they were born, where they lived, what they did, what they might have contributed to our society, what their hardships might have been and where their soul rests.

As I visit the graves of loved ones I cherish all those memories. I feel the love from their resting places and I know they would be proud of their family that still live.

I research in love, that their memories will live on!
