Adairsville, June 4th 1892
Dear Father Mother & family
I write you a few lines to let you hear
from me
I am getting along finely just doin well
as anyone could Jimmie is not very well. The old Lady is still grunting
She went to Vannie's Thursday and did not come back until yesterday eve.
She is going to Lizzie's this evening She & Mamie is going to stay
a week dont you know we will have a good time while they are gone
Jimmie has brought my cat? home they
were all pleased with it. They all took on about him having such a good
judgement about picking it I never let on nor he didn't but what I knew
nothing about it. Vannie throwed off on me about it. I did not like it
nor Sister either. I am going to Town this moring after some beaf I wish
you all was here to help us eat it. Mrs. Smith Sister Amanda Covington
& myself are going to Calhoun next Wednesday if nothing happens I wish
you could be there
I wrote to Edith and Fannie yesterday
wrote them to meet me at the Glade I have learned to play several new pieces
Mr Arwood? has picked out 4 songs for me to play.
Ed. Lewis came to see me yesterday he
said they were all well when he left home Ed say's his Pa has contracted
for an organ from Powell Ed says he is having very good success with his
fruit trees. Well ma I am in a hurry this morning and I have written all
I know
I hope this will find you all well. how
do you all make it home
Tell Ethel they all fell in love with
her Tell Bob & Arthur & Ethel to write to me Tell Lula I think
she has showed her foot about not writing I have come to the conclusion
she dont care anything about me. All write soon give my love to all enquiring
friend & a great dreal for your selves write all the news so no more
