FIRST GENERATION

After studying the son's names a little, I wonder if some of them were named after Presidents. Andrew J. could have been Andrew Jackson, John could have been John Adams, or John Quincy Adams, George W. could have been George Washington, and James M. could have been James Monroe. President Benjamin Harrison didn't become president until 1889, so that doesn't work for Benjamin H! There were several Talbots/Tolberts living near each other that fit these names in the 1850 and 1860 censuses. Most of the dates for these sons came from the possibility that they were all from this family. This is complete supposition on my part, and not FACT! James TALBOT/TOLBERT had the following children:

3 ii. Greenbury TALBOT⁽⁶⁾. 
4 iii. John TALBOT⁽⁶⁾. There is a John Talbot in the 1850 Clarke Co., GA census, Sandy Creek Dist. (age 36, farmer, born in GA) with his wife Emily (age 33, born in GA), and their 4 children (Marta J. 14, Albert F. 8, Talitha E 5, and Cynthia 1/12). Don't know if this is the same person. John's father's will mentioned land in Clarke Co., GA.

+7 vi. Andrew J. TALBOT.

+9 viii. George W. TOLBERT.
+10 ix. Benjamin H TALBOT.

He was married to Mary C. UNKNOWN [TALBOT] about 1849. Mary C. UNKNOWN [TALBOT] was born about 1831 in GA.⁽⁷⁾ She appeared on the census in 1850 in Cass (Bartow) Co., GA. ⁽⁸⁾ 1850 Cass Co., GA census shows Mary C. Talbot, age 19, married to James. She was born in GA.
James TALBOT/TOLBERT and Mary C. UNKNOWN [TALBOT] had the following children:

11 i. Cherokee B. TALBOT⁽⁶⁾ was born about Apr 1850 in GA.⁽⁹⁾ She was 7/12 of a year in the Nov 1850 census. She appeared on the census in Nov 1850 in Cass (Bartow) Co., GA.⁽¹⁰⁾ 1850 Cass Co., GA census shows Cherokee Talbot, age 7/12, daughter of James and Mary C. Talbot. She was born in GA.
