He was married to Ethel Mable BLEDSOE (daughter of John Washington BLEDSOE and Amanda DUKES) on 25 Dec 1913. Ethel Mable BLEDSOE⁽²⁾ was born on 29 Sep 1889. She died on 11 Jan 1977 in McDonough, Henry Co., GA. She died at Westbury Home. She was buried on 13 Jan 1977 in McDonough, Henry Co., GA.^(89)(90)She was buried in the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Charles Emmett SHAW and Ethel Mable BLEDSOE had the following children:
