Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, IA
The Hillsboro Cemetery is southeast of Hillsboro. Turn south off of E. Commercial St. onto N. King St., then west onto Pope and continue on South Pope to the cemetery.

NOTE: We visited the Hillsboro Cemetery in May of 2004 & 2006 and took the photos shown here. We were not aware until a few months prior to our first visit to the cemetery that there were descendants of my ancestors, who had lived in this area and were buried here.  My great, great, great aunt, Nancy Ann (Capehart) Oxley is buried here along with her two sons, Benjamin & Everit William Oxley. Her daughter, Adeline, is buried in an unmarked grave and Adeline's son, George Sellwood, is also buried here.  Adeline's first husband, William, is buried in Carnahan Cemetery.  Zelda grew up in this area and a descendant of Adeline's was in her sister's high school graduating class.
Hillsboro, Iowa is located in Southeast Iowa in Henry County.  It is 12 miles Southwest of Mt. Pleasant and is known for its limestone quarries.  At the time of the 2000 Federal US census the popualtion was 205.
