Hermitage Cemetery is located on the East edge of Hermitage, near the river.
Hermitage is the centrally located county seat of Hickory County, Missouri. It was laid out in 1846-47, and named for Andrew Jackson's home in Tenn. Its estimated population in 2003 was 493. Three miles south of Hermitage is the Pomme de Terre Reservoir and Dam.
