NOTE: Although we had lived in the area 18 years, we had never made it our priority to visit the Oak Hill Cemetery where my Aunt Mary Allen is buried, until August of 2005. What a surprise it was to not only locate Aunt Mary's grave but discover that her twin sister, Martha (Allen) Van Sickle was buried beside her. This is one of the rare finds one has while doing genealogy research and it helps make up for all the walls you run into. Nobody we contacted knew where Aunt Martha was buried and we didn't look for her in Arkansas since she had lived in Wisconsin all her adult life. The best we can determine is that she was visiting her sister at Siloam Springs, AR, got sick and died following surgery. The funeral home in charge of her funeral is still in operation and we were able to obtain both Aunt Mary's and Aunt Martha's death and burial records.
