Benjamin married Mary "Polly" ROBERSON on 5 Mar 1808 in
Livingston County, Kentucky. Mary was born about 1786 in South
Carolina. She died after Jan 1853 in Osage or Gasconade County,
Missouri.

County, Missouri was born 1809 in Kentucky. He died Sep 1867 in
Maries County, Missouri and was buried in Maries County,
Missouri.
William married (1) Elizabeth Serena ARCHER on 1 Jan 1828 in
Sangamon County, Illinois. Elizabeth was born 1813 in Tennessee.
She died after 1880 in Maries County, Missouri.
William was also not married (2) to Martha Jane DILL.
13 M ii. Samuel SIMPSON was born 14 Jul 1814 in
Kentucky. He died 12 May 1894 in Blanket, Brown County, Texas and
was buried in near Blanket, Logan Valley Cemetery, Brown County,
Texas.
Samuel married (1) Sarah PRYOR, daughter of Mr. PRYOR, on 6 Jul
1834 in Gasconade County, Missouri. Sarah was born 1816 in
Missouri. She died in Vernon County, Missouri.
Samuel also married (2) Miss CUNNINGHAM. Miss died in No known
children.
14 M iii. Daniel SIMPSON was born 1815 in
Kentucky. He died in Pulaski County, Missouri.
Daniel married Elizabeth PRYOR, daughter of Mr. PRYOR, on 23 May
1836 in Gasconade County, Missouri. Elizabeth was born 1820.

Benjamin married Ann Caroline BRANSON. Ann was born 1818 in White
County, Tennessee. She died 1857.

Will of William Simpson
I William Simpson of the County of Maries and
State of Missouri being weak in Body but Strong in
mind do make this my last will and Testament.
"First". My Soul unto God who gate it and my body
unto the Dust from whence it was take. Second
that my Funeral Expenses and all my just debts
shall be paid. Third that my wife Elizabeth
Serena Simpson shall retain and keep as her
own property as follows to wit. One Bay Mare,
one Black cow one Brindle cow with a white
face one choice heifer to be chosen by her, one yoke
of Red Steers Twenty three sheep Twenty five
head of choice hogs. All of the houshold and
kitchen furniture. All of the corn on the farm
on which I now reside. All the wheat now thrashed
and in the Graineres. Fourth the remainder of
my personal property to be sold at public au-
ction and the proceeds to applied to the payment
of my debts. Fifth. That my son Barney H. Simp-
son is to have Forty Acres of land described as follows
north west fourth of south west quarter section twenty
nine (29) Township Thirty Nine (39) Range ten West
or Four hundred dollars to be first taken out
of the proceeds of my land when sold before there
is any distribution made at his own election.
Sixth That my wife Elizabeth Serena Simpson is to
have and to hold peacible possession of the farm
on which I now reside and to have the proceeds
of the same for her own personal benefit during
her lifetime. Seventh. That Martha Johnson or Dild
is to have the proceeds of my River farm in the follow-
ing conditions That is she the said Martha Johnson or
Dild is to keep raise and maintain my two children
heirs of her Body and mine for the tem of Ten years
from this date also four head of cattle twenty head
of hogs more or less which she now has in possession
also so much of the corn as will do her. Eighth
that Jane Edds, Samuel Simpson, Frankie Edds,
Moses L. simpson, Barney H. Simpson, Mary Lee, Louvinia
Simpson, Caroline Simpson, Louisa Simpson, Rosana Johnson
or Simpson, Josephine Johnson or Simpson heirs of my body shall
share and share alike in the proceeds of the sale
of my Real Estate when sold land to be sold at the death
of my wife Elizabeth Serena Simpson. Ninth that I do
make and appoint Samuel Simpson and Moses L. Simpson Executors of
this my last will and testament with power
to sell the land owned by me not above specified either publicly
or privately. Tenth. Sigined and sealed in the
presence of Jonathan S. Rook and William J. Roberson and
to make this my last will and testament This twenty Eight
day of September A D. one thousand eight hundred and Sixty seven.

Court of the County and State aforesaid Jonathan

witnesses to the axxexed will of William Simpson
deceased and being by me first duly sworn dispose
and say that the said William Simpson the testator
subscribed the same in their presence and published
the said will or instrument of writing as his last
will that he the said Testator was at the time of
publishing his said will of sound mind and more than
twenty one years of age and that they the said
deponents attested the said will so witnesses
thereto by subscribing their names to the same in
the presence of the Testator.

Whereas the County Court of Maries County by its order
of sale made of Record at its May Term 1868 did order
the undersigned Executors of the last will and Testa
ment of William Simpson deceased to sell the Real Estate
inthat order and in this Dec'd discribed at private or
publick sale and whereas in obedience to said order the
undersigned Executors of said Wm Simpson deceased did on
the fifth day of October Ad 1868 sell to Benjamin Edds
the Real Estae in said order and in this Dec'd described
to wit. The west half of the East half of the South west quarter
and the West half of the southwest quarter of
section twenty seven (27) Township No Forty & (40) of
Range ten (10) west at private sale at the price and
the sum of Fifteen hundred dollars to us in hand paid
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged First having
had the sam appraised by Lytle Lambeth Dennis Fennesse
and John Carns three disinterested householders of Said County as
appears by the certificate of appraisment as returned with our
report of Dwellings to the November
term of the County Court of Maries County 1868 and
whereas said report was at said November Term 1868
duly approved by an Entry (of) record made at said
term and the said sale is therefore valid and binding
on all concerned. Now therefore in consideration of
the premises and of the said sum of Fifteen hundred
dollars to us paid by the said Benjamin Edds we the undersigned
Executors of the last will and testament
of William Simpson deceased do bargain sell and convey
to the said Benjamin Edds and to his heirs all the right title
and interest of the said William Simpson deceased
in and to the lands in said order and in this deed
described as follows to wit
The west half of the east half of the south west
quarter and the west half of the south west quarter of
section 2 (?) T40 R10 of one hundred and twenty acres
more or less In witness whereof we have hereunto set
our ahnds and seals this 16th May A D 1871

west quarte of sectin no 27 in Township no 40 of Range
No 10 and the said Executors being personally known to
the Court here to be the persons and Executors they
repesent themselves to be and they acknowledge the
same to be their act and deed for the uses and purposes
there in mentioned. In witness whereof that the foregoing
is a true and complete copy of the order in the foregoing cause I
have hereto set
