Simeon was the son of Madison Putman and Catherine Olivia Davidson.
Simeon married Adeline Victoria STONE, daughter of Reuben Gilmore Stone and Celia Lavina SCOTT, 
on 27 Oct 1877 in Mason County, Texas. Adeline was born 13 Apr 1861 in Llano County, Texas.
She died 26 Dec 1952 in Laredo, Webb County, Texas.

Texas. She died 30 Mar 1980 in Mt. Pleasant, Titus County, Texas and was buried in Mt. Pleasant,
Titus County, Texas.
Caroline married (1) Virgil Homer APPLEWHITE, son of John Barnes APPLEWHITE and Annie TEAGUE, 
about 1903. Virgil died in Mt. Pleasant, Titus Coutny, Texas.
They had the following children:
          14   F    i.   Madelene APPLEWHITE was born 1908. She died in Mt. Pleasant, Titus County, 
Texas and was buried in Mt. Pleasant, Titus County, Texas.
     +    15   M    ii.  Virgil H. APPLEWHITE was born 1911 and died 1940.



4.   Effie Letitia PUTMAN (Simeon Mercer "Doc") was born 25 Apr 1882 in Mason County, Texas. 
She died 31 Dec 1973 in Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama and was buried in Tuscaloosa, 
Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
Effie married William Ernest JONES, son of S. Edmund JONES and Mary Ida WATKINS, on 1906 in 
McCulloch County, Texas. William was born Sep 1886 in Voca, McCulloch County, Texas. He died 1947 in 
Columbia, South Carolina.

12 Dec 1982 in Ft Worth, Tarrant County, Texas and was buried in Blanket, Brown County, Texas.
Lucy married (1) Jesse Alford BLANTON, son of  Zachary Taylor BLANTON Rev. and Margaret "Maggie" HILL, 
on 2 Jan 1907 in Brady, McCulloch County, Texas. Jesse was born 10 Nov 1883 in Blanket, Brown County, 
Texas. He died 30 May 1956 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas.
They had the following children:

Colorado.
