Buried in Wesley cemetery. Born 17 May 1831, married 17 May 1853 to JOHN T. FAUCETT who was in Jack Neely's Co in the Civil War. Mother of four children; R.L. FAUCETT of Barrettsville AR, Mrs. A.T. Ross, Mrs. Josie Scroggins wife of A.H. Scroggins and R.B. Faucette deceased. Her husband died in 1862. Member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church. 4. Hardeman Co. census, 1880, Household 253: Spurlin, Eli 49 TN TN TN Angline 51 Wife (No children listed) Bolivar Bulletin, 1896 13 Nov 1896 Died Sunday, Eli SPURLIN at home in the 18th district, 61 years of age. Was married twice. Wife and child survive. Baptist. Buried with Masonic honors. ( I am not directly descended from Pleasant Miller Huddleston--his daughter Malinda (Milly) married the brother of my great-great-grand- father Fawcett. The obit mentions that her husband is John T. Faucett. He was actually Josiah T. Faucett/Fawcett (note all the different spellings of this surname--on a single obituary)! It mentions he was a member of Jack Neely's Co. in the Civil War. Since he died in 1862, I assume he died in the war. I am just beginning to look for info on Josiah, his life and death. The obit also lists their 4 children. 'R.L. Faucett' was Richard L. Faucett, 'Mrs. A. T. Ross' was Ann Thomas Fawcett Ross (and I have more on her and the Ross line), 'Mrs. Josie Scroggins', wife of A. H. Scroggins (where Malinda was living when she died), was Josephine Fawcett, and 'R.B. Faucette' was Ruskin B. Fawcett.)
