The Bio of Isaac January confirms the last name Mash. It also states that Martha was born in TN in 1812, (so there is room for doubt about the accuracy of the Bio, since her tombstone says she was b. 9 Dec 1803 in TN.-CL Mayfield).

It was stapled to some pages of AR Fedlands records compiled by Joy Fisher, jfisher@ucla.edu and located somewhere in links of Benton County, Arkansas.12 His estate was probated on 15 October 1908 at Benton County, Arkansas.13

"Thomas was the son of Samuel and Margery Montgomery LeFors. My notes show him to be born in Morgan County, Illinois in 1823 (I think this place of birth is wrong, because both Samuel and Whitfield, who were younger, were born in Scott County, KY before they moved to Morgan County, Illinois about 1828 or 1829) Thomas died in the Civil War as a Confederate soldier in 1862. He is buried in the National Cemetery, Fayetteville, AR. I have that he married Eliza Angeline January (1837-1923) abt 1854. This would be after the family went to Benton County, AR from their trek to North East TX. Speaking of their trek to NET, they should be in the 1850 Census for TX, but we have not been able to locate them."
