He married Lavada Howell.3 Joseph Delie Johnson was born on 10 January 1893 at Prairie County, Arkansas.2 He was the son of Condray Commodore Johnson and Belle Emma Laferney.2 Joseph Delie Johnson married Ona Livesay, daughter of William Walter Livesay and Hattie Loretta Lumpkin, on 6 January 1924; Ona and Delie married after the death of his first wife and infant son, Together they raised his first two sons, Leonard Howell Johnson, Condary Johnson and their son, Delie Livesay Johnson. The two older sons served in World War II, Leonard returned to his family, dying years later in Memphis,TN. Condary, a P38 pilot died in battle off the African Coast, Delie L. moved with his family to Los Angeles. Ona later went to live there. She assisted with the care of Mary and Delie's two children while they both worked. She had her own apartment going to work daily . For her death came June 12, 1997. After a memorial service in Hawthorne interment was in Hazen Cemetery, Prairie County, AR.

This is Ona's 1st marriage- Delie's 2nd marriage.3 Joseph Delie Johnson and Ona Livesay were Marriage Fact circa 1925. Joseph Delie Johnson died on 29 March 1952 at Prairie County, Arkansas, at age 59.

     Zula Alpha Garth was buried at Hazen Cemetery, Hazen, Prairie County, Arkansas. She was born on 21 February 1910 at Prairie County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Frank Garth and Mattie Gates.2 Zula Alpha Garth married Aubrey Lester Livesay, son of William Walter Livesay and Hattie Loretta Lumpkin, on 5 April 1931 at Prairie County, Arkansas; Aubrey farmed and worked in the timber industry most of his life. In the 1950s he worked on the dairy farm that was a part of the AR State Hospital operation. The farm was closed and he was an an orderly/aide in the hospital until his retirement. While he was doing this, Zula began nurses training, at work all the while and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for years at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. Then she worked in a Des Arc Medical Clinic went with Dr. Bethel (Robert) to a Wynne, AR hospital. They returned to their home in the Oak Prairie community where she worked until retirement as a nurse In Des Arc Schools.


As of 5 April 1931,her married name was Mrs. Livesay. Zula Alpha Garth died on 15 April 2002 at Moberly, Randolph, Missouri, at age 92.2

Katie Matilda Garth married William Ursley Livesay, son of William Walter Livesay and Hattie Loretta Lumpkin, on 26 October 1929 at Prairie County, Arkansas; For most young couples of this era, `The Thirties' `The Great Depression was a very hard time. Jobs, even for those who might have a special skill, were for the most part non-existent. Struggling for basic needs was the story of the times, a way of life. Through these times Ursley was a farm laborer, sharecropper, as did every one else, worked at anything he could find to do. A devout Christian of the Baptist faith he was ordained to the ministry in the early `40s. He successfully pastored a number of country churches throughout the Grand Prairie Missionary Baptist Association, He attended the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock but did not complete the offered courses. He continued to work part-time in the secular field while pastoring churches. Katie, after jobs were more available, worked in sales for local grocers.
As of 26 October 1929,her married name was Mrs. Livesay.

     Drury Livesay We suspect but have not proven that Drury Livesay is the son of William
Livesay, based on the following transcription of a survey report that divides
the land from William's estate into ten parcels and distributes them (to his heirs):

PRINCE GEORGE TO WIT     (Survey of William Livesay Dec'd)

This day by mutual consent of the parties concern'd and by the direction of Henry Watkins, Joseph Brockwell and Thomas Comer, Commissioners chosen by the said parties to settle and adjust the Division of the Land hereafter mentioned amongst them I went on the Land whereon William Livesay
died seized in the County aforesaid, and proceeded to survey the same, and found it to contain Four Hundred sixty three and 1/2 acres - Bounded as followeth to wit, Beginning at a corner Red Oak on William Hunnicutt at A, and running N. 32 1/2 W. 112 poles to a corner Willow Oak on the main run of Dick's Branch at B thence up the same as it meanders to a corner Ash on ditto at C. Thence
S. 21 W. 90 poles to a scrub White Oak at D. Thence S 7 E. 126 1/2 poles to a Turkey Oak at E, Thence S 30 E. 201 1/2 poles to a corner Hickory on Joshua Simmons at F. Thence N 66 1/2 E 88 poles to a corner Spanish Oak on Jessie Phillips on the head of the Turkey Branch at H. Thence down the said
branch as it meanders to the main run of Black Water Swamp, Thence up the said Swamp as it meanders to a corner on ditto at I, Thence running from the swamp S 61% W. 172 poles to the Beginning then by the consent of 8 parties and the direction of the said Commissioners I laid off and deducted 57 1/2 acres (agreeable to the boundaries) which the said decedent laid off and convey in
fee simple to his son William Livesay out of the above mentioned Land - and then I laid off and equally divided the remaining 406 acres into nine different allotments amongst the other legates, To Wit, Jemima Livesay, Susannah Livesay, Randolph Livesay, Mary Livesay, Hubard Livesay, Thomas Livesay, Drury Livesay, Milly Livesay, and Selvy Livesay, allotting to each one forty five and one ninth acres in such from and manner as is laid down and described in the within Platt and numbered from Number one to number nine inclusive each of which contains the aforesaid quantity of 45 & 1/9th acres - given under my hand this 22 day of December 1800           K B BRYANT S. P. G.

Drury Livesay was also known as Drewery. He was born circa 1767 at BlackWater Swamp Area, Prince George County, Virginia. He was the son of William Livesay. Drury Livesay married Frances Tucker on 13 December 1799 at Sussex County, Virginia.1

There were various acountings of T. T. Estate by D. T. Livesay between Nov.1848 and June 1851. All copied at the Shelby County TN Archives in Memphis, July 2004.


He was buried at Brooks Cemetery. He was born on 13 January 1804. He was the son of Drury Livesay and Frances Tucker. Turner T Livesay married Nancy G. Winfield on 3 January 1828 at Sussex County, Virginia.4,5 Turner T Livesay died on 2 October 1848 at Shelby County, Tennessee, at age 44.

She was born on 22 November 1868 at Greenville, Illinois.3 She married Daniel David Doering on 13 October 1895 at Zenda, Kansas. As of 13 October 1895,her married name was Mrs. Doering. Laura Luella Crossno married Tom Brown circa 1919. As of circa 1919,her married name was Mrs. Brown. Laura Luella Crossno and Samuel David Clifton lived in 1920 at St John, Stafford, Kansas.4 Laura Luella Crossno appeared on the census of 1920 at St. John, Stafford County, Kansas. She married Samuel David Clifton, son of William C. Clifton and Sarah Jane Coonrod, before 16 January 1920.5 As of before 16 January 1920,her married name was Mrs. Clifton. Laura Luella Crossno died on 9 July 1937 at Stafford, Kansas, at age 68.6
