Robert Buchanan was born in 1742 at Ireland.1 He married Mary Jamison in 1775.3 Robert Buchanan appeared on the census of 7 August 1820 at Pulaski County, Kentucky.4
He appeared on the census of 1 June 1830 at Pulaski County, Kentucky.5
He died on 5 February 1832 at Pulaski County, Kentucky; at the home of his son-in-law Levi Hubbell.1,6 Robert Buchanan was a Revolutionary soldier, a Captain in Washington County, Virginia He and his wife lived on the Holston River not far from Abington.
He was a Captain at King's Mountain 10/7/1780 per DAR #315731 Gwathmay's Historical Register of Virginians in the Revolution: also Chalkley, Vol. 1.
Robert's Bible published in Edinburg Scotland in 1775 is still in the hand of his descendants.
Robert lived to be 90 and died at the home of his son-in-law, Levi Hubbell, in 1832.
