Know all men by these presents that I, James HOLLOWAY of Jessamine County, State of KY, have by these presents appointed my trusty friend and nephew George HOLLOWAY of Bourbon County, State of KY, my agent and attorney in fact to transact business of every description (for me) in the State of Virginia, and to be more particular: Be it known that John HOLLOWAY, my brother of Prince George, State of Virginia, died many years since leaving a considerable estate, a part of which is coming to me since the death of the said John’s wife, who departed this life some time since, now…My agent and attorney is to collect my proportion or the said estate which consists of land, negroes and money and I authorize him to do what is necessary by the laws of Virginia, in my name and on my behalf, to obtain my proportionate part of my brother’s estate.”

Signed – John BALLARD, *Bennett HOLLOWAY. Wit: Henry DELONY, Abia CLAY, Isaac HOLMES. Recorded Mar 13, 1775.”

“Page 394. Oct 26, 1774 from John HOLLOWAY of Prince George County, to *Bennett HOLLOWAY of M, for 50 L, about 177 acres in M on the Church Branch, and bounded by the lands of James HOLLOWAY, MAYHO’S (MAYO’S?), Benjamin FERRELL, William HOLLOWAY, and the said John HOLLOWAY’S line that he purchased of George HOLLOWAY, being a tract of land given to said John HOLLOWAY by George HOLLOWAY, dec’d. "Bennett HOLLOWAY is appointed guardian for Thomas and Ann HOLLOWAY, orphans of George HOLLOWAY, deceased, and gave Bond as the Law directs with John BALLARD his security. Court 7 April 1761."
Note: Apparently, Thomas and Ann are still orphans two years after the death of their father, George HOLLOWAY. (aep).
He married Elizabeth Cammack. George Holloway died on 6 July 1759 at Lunenberg Co., Virginia.
