     Joseph Alfred Wiygul was born on 14 February 1798 at Tennessee.¹ He married Nancy Mayfield, daughter of A. B. Mayfield and Susanna Henderson, between 1821 and 1851.¹ Joseph Alfred Wiygul died on 9 October 1879 at Carolina Cemetery, Itawamba County, Mississippi, at age 81.¹

     James Presley Boozer was born between 1864 and 1892.¹ He married Nancy Melverta Wiygul, daughter of Ephraim H. Wiygul and Elizabeth Conwill, between 1886 and 1924.¹ James Presley Boozer died between 1888 and 1972.¹

     Ephraim H. Wiygul was buried at Wiygul Cemetery. He was born on 9 September 1829 at Cotton Gin Port, Monroe County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Joseph Alfred Wiygul and Nancy Mayfield.¹ Ephraim H. Wiygul married Elizabeth Conwill on 3 July 1851 at Itawamba County, Mississippi.¹ Ephraim H. Wiygul died on 24 December 1902 at age 73.¹

     James T. Wiygul was born on 23 March 1849 at Itawamba County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Joseph Alfred Wiygul and Nancy Mayfield.¹ James T. Wiygul married Mary Ann Adaline Conwill on 17 December 1868 at Itawamba County, Mississippi.¹ James T. Wiygul was buried in 1934 at Wiygul Cemetery, Itawamba County, Mississippi. He died on 4 January 1934 at Itawamba County, Mississippi, at age 84.¹

     A. Mayfield Wiygul was born between 1822 and 1849.¹ He was the son of Joseph Alfred Wiygul and Nancy Mayfield.¹ A. Mayfield Wiygul married Elizabeth Shumpert between 1859 and 1890.¹ A. Mayfield Wiygul died between 1862 and 1933 at Wiygul Cemetery.¹

      Ruth L. Wiygul was also known as Ruth L. Wygle.² She was born in 1829.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Alfred Wiygul and Nancy Mayfield.¹ Ruth L. Wiygul married Malachi Green, son of John Green, on 11 January 1853 at Itawamba County, Mississippi.¹ As of 11 January 1853,her married name was Mrs. Green. Ruth L. Wiygul died between 1859 and 1923.¹

      M. E. Wiygul was also known as Melissa. She was born between 1822 and 1846.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Alfred Wiygul and Nancy Mayfield.¹ M. E. Wiygul married Pinkney Emmerson on 10 November 1860.¹ As of 10 November 1860,her married name was Mrs. Emmerson. M. E. Wiygul died between 1865 and 1933.¹

     Susannah Wiygul was born in 1830.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Alfred Wiygul and Nancy Mayfield.¹ Susannah Wiygul died between 1831 and 1924.¹

     Alfred Wiygul was born in 1839.¹ He was the son of Joseph Alfred Wiygul and Nancy Mayfield.¹ Alfred Wiygul died between 1840 and 1929.¹

     Elizabeth Shumpert was born in 1846.¹ She married A. Mayfield Wiygul, son of Joseph Alfred Wiygul and Nancy Mayfield, between 1859 and 1890.¹ As of between 1859 and 1890,her married name was Mrs. Wiygul. Elizabeth Shumpert died in 1910 at Wiygul Cemetery.¹

     Pinkney Emmerson was born between 1808 and 1840.¹ He married M. E. Wiygul, daughter of Joseph Alfred Wiygul and Nancy Mayfield, on 10 November 1860.¹ Pinkney Emmerson died between 1865 and 1927 at Oklahoma.¹

     Mable Alger married John Will Oliver, son of John Calvin Oliver and Virginia Tucker Livesay. Her married name was Mrs. Oliver.

      Susanna Henderson was also known as Susanah.² She

The basis for believing Susannah's maiden name was Henderson is the will of Wilson Henderson, d. 1809 in newly form Giles co., TN that names daughter, Susannah Mayfield. Supporting evidence comes from the close relationship, geographical and otherwise, of A.B. Mayfield and this Henderson family through court records and documents from Davidson and Maury Co., TN. Prior to the TN years, there are many records in SC of this Henderson family and a close relationship with the family of an Abraham Mayfield in Chester co., SC.


However, Henderson is a theory that we have not proven. A great granddaughter of A.B. and Susannah left hand written notes that give her name as Murphy. This is not proven either.


Descendents tend to lean toward the Henderson theory.

She was born between 1765 and 1792.² She was the daughter of Wilson Henderson and Mary Aterbury.² Susanna Henderson was born circa 1780.¹ She married A. B. Mayfield between 1795 and 1828.² As of between 1795 and 1828,her married name was Mrs. Mayfield. Susanna Henderson died between 1824 and 1880.² The record for Susanna Henderson was Updated on 8 October 2000.¹

     Wiley Green was born on 9 November 1879.¹ He was the son of William E. Green and C.H. Patterson.¹ Wiley Green married Verna Hobbs between 1898 and 1928.¹ Wiley Green died on 9 March 1974 at age 94.¹

     Verna Hobbs was born on 13 December 1883.¹ She married Wiley Green, son of William E. Green and C.H. Patterson, between 1898 and 1928.¹ As of between 1898 and 1928,her married name was Mrs. Green. Verna Hobbs died on 19 September 1956 at age 72.¹

     Pollie Green was born between 1869 and 1882.¹ He was the son of William E. Green and C.H. Patterson.¹ Pollie Green married Lurie Raden between 1890 and 1931.¹ Pollie Green died on 19 December 1975 at Bourland Cemetery.¹

     Lurie Raden was born between 1868 and 1897.¹ She married Pollie Green, son of William E. Green and C.H. Patterson, between 1890 and 1931.¹ As of between 1890 and 1931,her married name was Mrs. Green. Lurie Raden died between 1928 and 1986 at Bourland Cemetery.¹

     Roger Clayton was born on 27 September 1919.¹ He died on 19 April 1939 at age 19.¹
