She was born on 29 July 1800 at Pulaski County, Kentucky.1 She was the daughter of John Mayfield and Mary Woolf.1,2 Clarenda Mayfield married Ambrose Hendricks, son of Samuel Hendricks and Margaret Peggy Gibson, on 14 June 1824 at Pulaski County, Kentucky; five children to this marriage per Nina Dupree.3,4 As of 14 June 1824,her married name was Mrs. Hendricks. Clarenda Mayfield married James D. Newton, son of (?) Newton and Elizabeth (?), on 17 June 1838 at Morgan County, Indiana.5,2 As of 17 June 1838,her married name was Mrs. Newton. Clarenda Mayfield lived on 21 March 1849 at Morgan County, Indiana.6 She died after 1870 at Prob. Morgan County, Indiana.2
