Edmund B. Holloway conveyed the 200 acres same as in Deed book 51 page 521. ( He was obviously not available to sign when everyone else did, tho his wife did sign. He is in Shelbyville Illinois preparing this deed. He does say his home is Jackson County, Missouri.) The terms and wording are the same as the orignal deed.

Mrs. Mary Holloway, nee McClanahan, died in Shelbyville, Ill. on the 26th ult. aged 69 years. She was for many yerars a resident of the county near Elizabeth Church where she held her membership. One of her sons was prominent as an officer of teh U. S. Army before the late war, but sided with the Conf. and was killed near Indep. Mo. early in the struggle. Another was prominent lawyer and Democr. politician in Ill. One was formerly of Madison County and is now merchant in Lexington. Elder Dudley says she was one of the most faithful of regular Baptist Church.

(My notes: I believe Mary was older than 69 years- she was married in 1807. I show her born in 1791.).

She was born on 23 January 1791 at Bourbon County, Kentucky.4,1,5 She was the daughter of Thomas McClanahan and Elizabeth Field.4,1,5 Mary McClanahan married Col. George Holloway, son of William Holloway, on 7 November 1807 at Bourbon County, Kentucky.6 Mary McClanahan died on 28 March 1870 at Shelbyville, Shelby County, Illinois, at age 79.4,1 She was Property on 5 June 1960 at Bourbon County, Kentucky. She was Record Change on 15 April 2004.1

     Thomas McClanahan was the son of Thomas McClanahan and Margarret Strother. Thomas McClanahan Will Book J II Bourbon County, Ky.
I THOMAS McCLANAHAN the County of Bourbon and State of KY do make this my last Will and Testament whereas I have given to some of my children portions of land (that is to say, to my daughter Margaret Ward and her husband her portion by deed -- and to my Son William McClanahan his portion by deed -- and to my daughter Maria Watkins and her husband her portion by deed -- and to my daughter Ann Thorton and her husband her portion by deed) I give to my daughter Mary Holloway and her husband two hundred acres of land whereon they now live, during their natural life and after their death to the heirs of the body of my daughter Mary Holloway -- and whereas I have sold all my land, I desire that after my just debts are paid, that all my negros be hired out and the money arising from their hire to be put at interest and that one hundred dollars be paid to my wife Elizabeth McClanahan annually for her support during her life --and after the death of my wife, I desire that all my negroes and their increase be equally divided between my daughter Maria Watkins and the children of my daughter Margaret Ward. That is to say, one half to Maria Watkins and the other half to the children of Margaret Ward, they having received less land than the rest of my children. I also desire that all the money that may be in hand arising either from the Sale of my land or the hire of my negroes after the death of my wife be equally divided between my daughter Mariah Watkins and the children of Margaret Ward (that is to say, one half to Mariah Watkins, and the other half to the children of Margaret Ward with this exception. If my negro man Sampson and my negro woman (Bannih??) should be alive at the death of my wife, I desire that they shall not be hired out, but good care taken of them by my daughter Maria Watkins and the children of my daughter Margaret Ward -- In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of November 1833. At the October Term of the Bourbon County Court KY on the sixth day of October 1834. This Last Will and Testament of Thomas McClanahan deceased, was this day produced and proved in open court by William Bickman an attesting witness thereto to be the Last Will and Tstament of the siad McClanahan, which being sworn to by William McClanahan the Executor is by the Court ordered to be recorded. Witness Thomas P. Smith Clerk of said Court the date above. Signed Tho. P. Smith Clk. He married Elizabeth Field on 13 March 1786 at Lincoln County, Kentucky. Thomas McClanahan died on 6 October 1834 at Bourbon County, Kentucky.2
