I calculated their birth dates based on 1860 enumeration.4 Rachel Meece married Edward J. Buchanan, son of Robert Buchanan and Mary Jamison, on 5 December 1855 at Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky.3,5 As of 5 December 1855,her married name was Buchanan. Rachel Meece and Edward J. Buchanan appeared on the census of 1860 at ED 1, Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky.6 Rachel Meece died on 30 June 1888 at Pulaski County, Kentucky, at age 71.1,3,7 She was buried in 1888 at Freedom Cemetery, Pulaski County, Kentucky.2
