Lucy Zeier writes: Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures to accompany this program. My grandmother (Emma L. Reavis Bryant) has written at the top "In year about 1910". However, in turning to my perpetual calendar, I see that March 31 falls on Monday in only one year of logical choice; and that was 1913. My grandmother was a music teacher in her pre-married life (md. 1915), to my knowledge she was never a principal of a (regular) school. Was there a music school at McCains called "McCains School House" during 1913? Wayne Austin writes: I don't have any awareness of that issue but, if I had to guess I think the principal designation above just refers to Emma Reavis as Principal of the small music school perhaps located in the Bryant Station village area, and on this date the musical was played at McCains School House about 8 miles south of Columbia.
