Weakley Gordon Kennedy
resident of Tenn joined C.S.A. Was captured by the Yankees, and held a P.O.W. in St. Louis, Mo. Weakley Gordon Kennedy was buried the same day that he died, along with approximately 3,200 other C.S.A. captives on March 21, 1863, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. The decendants of Weakley Gordon and Sarah Ann Kennedy would like to express appreciation to Mr. Ephraim McClain for driving to St. Louis and taking this picture of W.G. Kennedy's tombstone.
Weakley was married to Miss Sarah Ann Stockard, (daughter of Richard Stockard ); and the parents of James W. Kennedy who was the father of Allie Mai Kennedy, Otto Kennedy, Otis Kennedy, Pauline Kennedy and Jenny Pearl Kennedy.
