Funeral services for George E. Hines, 82, were conducted Friday, August 4, at Young’s Chapel Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John E. Gent officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Hines died Wednesday, August 2, in the SallyNursing Home in Shelbyville, following a long illness. He was a native of Lincoln County, the son of the late James T. Hines and Mary Zimmerman Hines. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Nell Hines, Bellville, and Mrs. Oma Hines, Lewisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
