In the name of god amen the viii day of August in th eyere of oure lord god a thowsande fyve hundredth fyftie I Robert Danyell of Litl Stewcley wtin the countie of Hunt being sicke in body but yet of good and perfeght memory mynde and remembrance laude and prayse be unto Christ my maker and redemer do make and ordeyn this my last will and testament in manere and forme folowinge first and principally I give and bequeath my soull to allmyghtie god my maker and ... to his glorious mother and virgin mary. Also I bequeath to John Danyell my sonne xx £ of good and lawfull money of England which I will that Thomas Danyell my sonne shall have the halfe kepinge of it to the behuffe of John my sonne aforsaid untill he come to the age of xxiiii yeres. And then the said Thomas shall delivere the some of money aforsaid unto my said sonne John Danyell. And yf the said John Danyell separte this worlde or so come to the said age of xxiiii yeres then I give and bequeath the same some of money byforsed unto the said Thomas Danyell my sonne. Item I will and bequeath to John Danyell my sonne xvi acres and a roode of medowe lyinge within the medowe of Alcombury komde? to have and to holde to lying and to his hairs and his assignes for ... that my legacies fulfilled my debts paide my body brought honestly to the grounde. And also all other coastes and charges which my executorys shall be putt on my buryall or in proviinge of my testament or any such other charge shall ... of myne ... proper goodes as my executorys shall ... left and they the residue of all my goodes above not bequeathed I give and bequeath to Alice my wyff and to Henry Danyell my sonne as all moveable and immoveable .. Memoranda at the day and yere above writn at the making of this present testament the surrender of the house that Thomas Danyell of Weston the sonne of the aforesaid Robert Danyell dwellith in was allowed to stand in full strength like as it was geven up byfore in to the hands of John Fisher and Thomas Conere tents to the lord Cawkleye of the same lord shepe for the performacon of this my last will and testament according as it is now pleynlye wtn that present testament xpressed aftr the custome and manere of the said lordship Memod at and in the thirde day of January in the fourth yere of the Reign of our most soverieng lord Kinge Edward the firste after the makinge of this present testament the surrender of xlii acres and a roode of medow lying within the medow of Alcombury lande was deliverd by . . . Danyell in to the hands of one Robert Grace ... of my lord ?arkey to the behuffe and use of John Danyell the sonne of the said Robert Danyell and to his heirs and his assignes for the performance of this last will and testament according as it is above specified wythin the present testamente after the custome and manere of the lordshipe. In the name of God amen the xiith day of Aprill & in the yere of our lord god 1571 I John Daniell of Stewcley P[ar]va sicke in bodye & sore visited wth gods correction yet nowthstandinge of good & p[er]fect memorye praysed be god doe make & ordayne this my p[re]sent testament contayning herein my last will in manr & forme following yt is first & principallie I geve betake? & bequeath my soule into th[e h]ands of almyghtie god my only creator & redemr by the blessed merit of whose sonnes bloude sheddinge I truste to be saved & my bodye to be buried in the churchyard of little stewcley aforesayd. In the name of god amen the xviii day of Marche in ye yere of o[u]r Lord god one thousand fyve hundred fourescore and fiftene I John Daniel of Aucnbury Weston in the countie of Hunt husbandman sicke in body but whole in mynd & of good & p[er]fect memory laude & praise be geven to allmightie god doe make & ordaine this my p[re]snte testamt contayning herein my last will in maner & forme foloweing.
