I, W. C. Thompson do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New-York, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Ship Zurich whereofI am Master, from Havre Sworn to this 23 March 1848 So help me God (signed) W C Thompson Before me (signed) J W Flatman

Columns: Names, Age (years/months), Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country in which they intend to become inhabitants, and Died on the voyage. "Farmer" is written as occupation for all non-cabin passengers, so that column is eliminated. The baggage is listed in the column labeled for deaths.

35,36 K???t??? - the name is partially hidden by a blot or tear in
the page.
38-51 The cabin passengers were not numbered and were written with the
given name first. Numbers were added for ease of reference and
the names were transcribed with the surname first to be consistent
with the rest of the passenger list.
