Lori enlisted in the Women's Army Corps,
August 2, 1971....Basic Training at Ft. McClellan, AL, AIT Ft. Sam Houston, TX Dental Tech. Dec. 1971 - 1975 Made SGT. May 1975 US Army Recuriter - Feb. 1975 - August 7, 1977. Met Dock Ernest Sloan while stationed in Buffalo, NY. Worked as career counselor for people joining the Army and had to call him every day at 7AM to get procurment numbers for assignments to Europe. He worked in the Washington, DC area at the US Army Personnel HQ. We firted over the phone everyday for 6 months until he talked me into meeting him in DC.....we've been together ever since, marrying on Nov. 26, 1976. |
