Thomas Marston [great-grandson of Thomas the immigrant]lived at this mountain before migrating to Kentucky about 1797. This site was later the setting for a battle in the Civil War.

The original of this photo was a Daguerreotype taken about 1852-1858 in Louisville, Kentucky by M. Carpenter. They are thought to be residents of Owen Co. Ky and Marstons. This photo was the subject of an article in "Bluegrass Roots" V 25 No. 3 1998, page 100. Can you identify them?
