John Sheridan - Great Grandfather

 

John Sheridan was born approx. 1816 in Ireland, died 7-6-1873 in Dubuque, Iowa

John’s wife, Mary ?  was born approx. 1831 in Ireland, died 9- 6-1891 in Dubuque, Iowa

They are buried in the same lot in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Dubuque, along with their daughter, Rosie Sheridan

who died June 16, 1888 at the age of 20.

It is not known when John “Sheridan” came to America, but he first appeared in 1854 Iowa State

Census, along with  his brother, James “Sheridan” living on next farm in Richland Township, Jones

County.
