Denzil WHITED [Parents] was born 1 Aug 1920 in West Virginia. He died 31 Oct 2005. Denzil married Helen on 1947.
Denzil Whited, 85, of Nitro went home to be with the Lord Oct. 31, 2005, at home.
Denzil was a member of Rock Branch Independent Church. He was a graduate of Mohler Barber Academy, Wheeling, and was the owner of Whited Barber Shop for 29 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the CCC and the VFW.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen Whited; brothers, Auvil Whited of Nitro and Earl Whited of Walton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home with Pastor Delbert Hawley officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, with military rites.
A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to HospiceCare, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Docie Mae Fisher Whited, 92, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Walton, W.Va., died May 8, 1997, in Delmar Gardens Nursing Center, Lawrenceville, after a short illness.
She was born in Ryan, W.Va. She was a homemaker and a 50-year member of Walton Union Church.
Surviving: daughter, Lois Wright of Lawrenceville; stepdaughter, Marlene Jones of Walton; sister, Gatha Berry of Walton; grandson, Steve Wright of Danville, Calif.; stepgranddaughters, Lisa Jones of Walton, Linday Ashley of Cross Lanes; stepgrandson, Mike Jones of Walton; six stepgreat-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Walton Union Church with the Rev. Leon Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Elkview. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer.
