James Robert ELMORE [Parents] was born about 1934. He died 16 Jul 2007 in Glade Spring, Washington Co., VA. James married Carol Emogene about 1961.

GLADE SPRING – James Robert Elmore, age 73, went home with the Lord Monday, July 16, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Elmore was well-known for his hobby of lawn mower and small engine repair. He was a well-loved husband of 46 years, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Elmore was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margie Elmore; son, Jeff Elmore; and two brothers, Charles and Billy Elmore.
Survivors: wife, Carol Emogene Elmore; three daughters, Renauta Ball and husband Larry of Bristol Virginia, Tammy Weaver of Abingdon and Angie Leonard and husband David of Statesville, N.C.; sister, Gladys Hagar of Marion; four grandchildren, Brandi Sant and husband Tim, Christa Bare, Sasha Weaver and Kendra Hamilton; great-grandchild, Audrey Hess; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Elmore will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at the D.R. Henderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Atkins and the Rev. Gary Knapp officiating. A graveside committal will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Rose Cemetery with the Hardy Roberts VFW Post 7328 conducting military rites. Mr. Elmore's family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Ball, Tim Sant, Tony Surber, Jack Ingle, Ron Hagar and Tim Hagar.

Brady C. CLIFTON died. He married Juanita WHITED.

Juanita WHITED [Parents] was born 23 Nov 1939 in Russell Co., VA. She died 18 Jun 2009 in Mabscott, WV. Juanita married Brady C. CLIFTON.

Juanita Clifton, age 69 of Mabscott, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at her home with her family by her side following a long battle with cancer.

She was a homemaker after retiring from the St. Francis DeSales School where she served as a cook.

Born on November 23, 1939 in Russell County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Stella Whited. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brady C. Clifton; three children, Roy C., Barbara G., and Gertie Faye Clifton; and a brother, Billy Whited.

Those left to cherish her memory are five children, Angie Maggard of Beckley, WV, Michael Clifton of Hilltop, WV, Kenneth Clifton and wife, Della of Salisbury, NC, Karen Canterbury and husband, Eddie of Pax, WV and Bonnie Adkins and husband, Richard of Fairdale, WV; eight grandchildren, Angie Mancari, Brandi Joynes, Holly Arnold, Brandon Dickens, Josh and Danyelle Farley, Jimmy and Cammy Canterbury; three great-grandchildren, the loves of her life, Abigail Mancari, Nicholas Grant Joynes and Emmy Arnold; two brothers, Edward and Ted Whited of Buchanan County, VA; and a host of special children that grew up around her house including nine step great-grandchildren. And last but not least, her very dear friends, Pastor and Sister Greeley of Buchanan County, Virginia, to which the family extends their greatest gratitude for always being there when she needed them.

A visitation will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 South Kanawha St., Beckley, WV on Saturday, June 20, 2009 from 6 to 9 P.M. Then she will be taken to Virginia for funeral services on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at the Singleton Funeral Service, Cedar Bluff, Virginia at 3:00 P.M. Family and friends may gather there two hours prior to the service. Her journey will end in Buchanan County, Virginia where she will be laid to rest in the Bev Keen Cemetery beside her husband and children. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Dollie died. She married Billy R. WHITED.


Teddy James WHITED [Parents] was born 2 Sep 1948 in Mill Creek, Raven, Russell Co., VA. He died 2 Nov 2010 in Richlands, Tazewell Co., VA and was buried in Newberry Cemetery, Horton Ridge, Russell Co., VA. Teddy married Katherine on 1969.

Teddy James Whited, age 62 of Horton Ridge, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Clinch Valley Medical Center. Born September 2, 1948 at Mill Creek, Virginia he was the son of the late Sherman and Stella Whited. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Teddy was a member of the American Legion Post 164 at Grundy, Virginia. He was of the Holiness faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy R. Whited; and one sister, Wanda Clifton.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathryn (Kathy) Whited; two daughters, Peggy Sue Whited Tuggle and husband Sammy of Doran, VA and Melissa Hunnell Byrd of Horton Ridge, VA; one brother, Edward Whited of Short Gap, VA; one granddaughter that he loved as a daughter, Danielle Hunnell (Blonde Head); one grandson that he loved as a son, Douglas Lee Hunnell; one great-granddaughter, Sierra Hunnell; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 5, 2010 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. James Hall and Rev. Monroe Greeley officiating. Burial will follow in the Newberry Cemetery at Horton Ridge, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 164.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Thursday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
