Betty Sue Wimmer, age 76, of the Steelesburg section of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011 in a Kingsport, Tennessee hospital.
She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Ruth Mae Phipps.
She had made her home in the Cedar Bluff area all of her life and was employee of the Clinch Valley Physicians for over 39 years. She was a graduate of Richlands High School Class of 1953 and attended Layman’s Chapel in Richlands, Virginia. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

One Daughter: Susan Beth Wimmer Jessee and husband, Tim of Pounding Mill, Virginia
Two Grandsons: Jeremiah K. Jessee and Garrett C. Jessee
Funeral services for Betty Sue Wimmer will be conducted Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 2:00pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Walter Jessee officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call after 6:00pm Monday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
