Stanley Marvin BOYD [Parents] "Stan" was born 5 May 1915 in Horton Ridge, Russell Co., VA. He died 3 May 1970 in Raven, Tazewell Co., VA. Stan married Novella Pauline CHURCH about 1942 in Swords Creek, Russell Co., VA.
Stanley was a World War II veteran, stationed in Hawaii. He enlisted on February 24, 1942 in Richmond, VA.

Novella Pauline CHURCH [Parents] was born 14 Oct 1923 in Red Root Ridge, Virginia. She died 10 Jan 1995 in Richlands, Tazewell Co., VA. Novella married Stanley Marvin BOYD about 1942 in Swords Creek, Russell Co., VA.

Dallas Clifton BOYD [Parents] was born 27 May 1929 in Horton Ridge, Russell Co., VA. He died 12 Apr 1999 in Center Line, Macomb Co., MI. Dallas married Pansie Ann DYE on 26 Dec 1950 in Richlands, Tazewell Co., VA.
Dallas moved in with his brother, Graham, when he was about 12 years or so. He worked in coal mines when he grew up. He enlisted in the Air Force as well. Work wasn't very steady in the coal industry at the time, so he became frustrated at being laid off repeatedly. Finding stable work was the reason he and his wife moved to Michigan. He worked in various factories, ultimately retiring from the Chrysler Corporation in the early 1990's. Of course, Dallas was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan and followed the Detroit Red Wings in NHL hockey.

Pansie Ann DYE was born 29 Jul 1929 in Richlands, Tazewell Co., VA. She died 9 Nov 2008 in Center Line, Macomb Co., MI. Pansie married Dallas Clifton BOYD on 26 Dec 1950 in Richlands, Tazewell Co., VA.

Lisa Ann BOYD was born 23 Mar 1966 in Warren, Macomb Co., MI. She died 7 Apr 2007 in Warren, Macomb Co., MI and was buried in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, MI.
Lisa Ann Boyd, 41, a lifetime Center Line resident, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, in her home. She was born March 23, 1966, in Warren.
Miss Boyd was employed as a cosmetologist for various beauty salons. A 1984 graduate of Center Line High School, she graduated in 2005 from Carnegie Medial Institute as a medical assistant. She was a lifelong patron of the Michigan Renaissance Festival, an avid reader, and was knowledgeable of Celtic history and her family genealogy. Her family described her as an unbelievably kind and outrageously beautiful human being, a loyal and loving daughter, and friend to everyone she met.
Miss Boyd is survived by her mother, Pansie Boyd.
She was predeceased by her father, Dallas Boyd.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rudy Funeral Home, 25650 Van Dyke, Center Line. Graveside services will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy. |
