Nancy Carol Plaster, age 57, of Raven, Virginia, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 at home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of Nellie Jean Chapman Stilwell of Raven, Virginia and the late Dewey Stilwell.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong resident of the Raven area and was a former seamstress for Eastern Isles. She was a Honaker High School Graduate.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by one sister, Brenda Stilwell and one brother, Bobby Stilwell.

Entombment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery, Richlands, Virginia. Ernie Newberry, Ronnie Arms, Danny Blankenship, Justin Helton, Greg Keene and Wayne Stilwell will serve as Pallbearers. Born October 24, 1936 in Buchanan County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Alex and Carrie Street Whited. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Garnett B. Haywood; and three brothers, Tanzle Whited, Carlos Whited and Lawson Whited. She is survived by her husband Leon Coffman; four children, Patty Moody and husband Larry of Johnson City, TN, Gail Haywood and Mack Smith of Cedar Bluff, VA, Tammy Vance and husband Pete of Abingdon, VA and Garnet Lester and wife Tracey of Cedar Bluff, VA; one step-daughter, Joanne Joyce and husband Tommy of Cedar Bluff, VA; one brother, Paul Whited and wife Bonnie of Cedar Bluff, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer Mendenhall and husband Robert, Brian Perkins and wife Melissa, Jason Perkins and Derrick Perkins; several great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren; numerous special friends and relatives also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. Dennis McLemore and Rev. Ed Steele officiating.
