This page was created to record search results that strongly suggest a connection to our Family Tree. In general, it is my assumption that anyone with the Manchee or Insisiengmay surnames are "probably" linked to our family tree by birth or marriage. Since the Blakeley and Avallone surnames are more common, additional supporting detail will be required to make the list. That criterion is not yet defined.

Family Groups

Charles Manchee, b. 1826 in Bethnal Green, London, Middlesex, UK. Charles was married to Caroline and they had 4 boys and one girl. This family was located in the 1881 British Census by Jill Hill.

Sarah Manchee, born c. 1813 in Stepney, was the daughter of Daniel Manchee and Esther (Hester?) Beauchamp. She married Charles Lefever, born c. 1812 in Bethnal Green, on 4 April 1831. Sarah Lafever, the daughter of Charles and Sarah, was christened in 1833 in Shoreditch. She married Luke Thomas, born 1831, on 9 April 1855 in Bethnal Green. I first located this unknown Manchee on Micheal Strudwick's website. Michael provided the additional detail.

Ernest John Manchee, b. abt 1882, d. 1907, buried 17 Dec 1907, ref: Abney Park Cemetary Records. Located by Cynthia Jackson.

George Manchee, b. 8 May 1829, Bethnal Green, London, UK, son of Rev Daniel Manchee. George was said to have emigrated to the United States after 1865, according to Connie Boyne-Manchee, or after 1871, according to Lyn Golden, his family to follow at a later date. Within the family, it is said that George died in Boston (or possibly Chicago). From this it would appear that George was the first (and only) Manchee to have emigrated directly to the United States from England. And if he arrived before 1880, he would be the first Manchee to have entered the United States, edging out Rev. William and family. Any information or leads would be welcomed.

Mabel Manchee, b. Dec 1893, Father: Henry, Mother: Manchee, ref: Virginia Births, Charlotte County, 1883-96, Ancestry.com (ed. This is a very unusual record)

Mae E. Manchee, died in Lyons Vil(lage), Cook County, IL on 3 May 1946, ref: Database of Illinois Death Certificates, 1916–1950, located by Cynthia Jackson.

Thelma Eloise Manchee, nee Strange, b. 30 Jul, 1902 in Kentucky, d. 24 Aug, 1989 in San Diego, ref: SSDI and California Deaths, 1940-1997.

Wilfrid Arthur Manchee, son of Rev. William Manchee. Wilfrid's connection to the family tree is well known. His whereabouts is not. He disappeared from the family scene in 1925. Recently discovered census and circumstantial data on his chart provide clues to his later life.  His whereabouts thereafter remain a mystery.
