Robert Wesley Nelson, son of  Emily Lincoln and Benjamin F. Nelson, was born April 6, 1879, in Illinois, perhaps in Hancock Township, Hancock County. He died May 20, 1948, in Fountain Green Township, Hancock County, and was buried at Webster Cemetery.
Sarah E. "Sadie" Gipe, daughter of
Robert and Sadie were married around 1901. They lived for a number years in Hancock County. We have not determined Robert's whereabouts in 1930. Sadie may have been in Wichita, Kansas; her elder sister, Anna, had lived in Wichita for a number of years. Sadie later married John L. Hedde. She died April 3, 1962, at Macomb, McDonough County, and was buried in that city at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. We can reasonably presume the Nelson children were all born in or near Hancock County. They were:
