| Benjamin Bloyd, son of Levi Bloyd and Barbara Winn, was born in Kentucky on April 9, 1827. He married Emeline Hobart on December 30, 1855, in Hancock County, Illinois.

On October 5, 1869, Benjamin married Mary was the widow of At the time Mary and Benjamin were wed, only two of her seven children by Thomas White were still living: Mansel and Freeman. Benjamin and Mary became the parents of:
Mary died March 19, 1875, probably in or near Fountain Green Township. Benjamin buried her by Emeline at Webster Cemetery. Benjamin died 10 years later, on May 17, 1885, and he, too, was laid to rest at Webster Cemetery. |
