| William J. Kleckner was born in Union County, Pennsylvania, the son of William and Clara were second cousins through the Callihan line. They were married on July 24, 1884. J. Conrad Kuhl, Minister of the Gospel, performed the ceremony at his home in Carthage. Witnesses were Miss Hattie Reinach and Abbie Kuhl. Their fifty-third wedding anniversay was marked by a family celebration in 1937.
Clara died at home on the Kleckner farm near Webster, on February 23, 1949, and was buried at Moss Ridge Cemetery. William and Clara were the parents of eight children:
