She married Alfred Chesterfield Kimbrough on December 24, 1899, in Carthage, Hancock County. Rev. W. B. Hall of the Baptist Church performed the nuptials.  Marriage Documents

Alfred, also known as "Uncle John", was born January 16, 1875, to James William Kimbrough and Nancy Adeline Russell, who came from Kentucky to Hancock County in 1866.

Lizzie's older sister, Florence, had married Alfred's older brother, Edward, in 1897.

Lizzie and Alfred lived in Hancock Township for a number of years after their marriage.  By 1920 they had relocated to Nelson Park Township, Marshall County, Minnesota.  They spent the rest of their lives in that state.

Lizzie died in January of 1971, in or near Strandquist, Marshall County, Minnesota.  Alfred died in 1950.  They are both buried at Karlstad Cemetery, Kittson County, Minnesota. (Kittson is the farthest northwest county in Minnesota, abutting Marshall County.)
