JOHN D. HUMBERD 1847-1928
OLIVE JANE ROBERTS 1849-1933

 

Olive Jane Roberts was the daughter of Jozedic Roberts and Mary Ann Shipley.  She was born in 1849, probably in Hancock County, Illinois.  She died in 1933, probably in Kansas.

Olive Jane's husband was John D. Humberd.  They were married on November 13, 1870, in McDonough County, Illinois.  Marriage Documents

John D. Humberd was the son of William and Elizabeth Humberd, from Tennessee and Kentucky, respectively.  John was born in 1847 in Illinois, died in 1928, probably in Kansas.

John and Olive are both buried at Lone Elm Cemetery, Anderson County, Kansas.

The children of Olive Jane Roberts and John D. Humberd were:

i. Berthena T. Humberd, born about 1872, probably in McDonough County, Illinois.
 
ii. Naoma Gertrude "Gertie" Humberd, born in 1875, probably in McDonough County, Illinois, died in 1922.  She married Bart Lowman (1872-1931) about 1899 in Kansas.  They are both buried at Lone Elm Cemetery, Anderson County, Kansas.
 
iii. Elsie M. Humberd, born about 1878, probably in McDonough County, Illinois.
 
iv. Ula A. (Ulie) Humberd, born about 1879, probably in McDonough County, Illinois.
 
v. Jozedic W. Humberd, born about 1883 in Kansas.
 
vi. Amos Otto Humberd, born in October of 1890, according to his WWI Selective Service registration, in Kansas.  He signed the registration form with the surname Humbert.
