Auburn Cemetery, Colchester, IL *Although family records show he was born in 1869, the date on his tombstone is reportedly 1868. Blandinsville and Colchester are in McDonough County. At that time he was a laborer in a brickyard in Colchester. He was reported as married, with his wife and a child as dependents. In the 1920 Federal Census, Charlie was counted as a single man in his parents' home. In the 1930 census he reported he was first married at the age of 21.

She was a student at Woodville School District 105, circa 1910.
