Charles W. Moss b: d: burial: Glade City Cemetery, Blandinsville, IL |
The inscription on this tombstone has been reported to indicate that this son of "W. T. & M. Moss" died December 25, 1861, but it would appear that the year of death was misread. William and Mary weren't married until 1864 after Nancy Mustain's death in 1863, and Charles was named in William's obituary as the deceased son of William and Mary. No other W. T. Moss has been found in the general area during the relevant time period.
