Catharine Kube was born November 28, 1833, in Germany, the daughter of Philip and Elizabeth Hilmes Kube.  Over the years Philip adopted the spelling Kuba; Catharine's brother, George, eventually used the spelling Cuba. Catharine's name is additionally found as Catherine, Anna C., Kathrine, Kathryn and, on her tombstone, Katherine.

Catharine reported in both the 1900 and 1910 censuses that she came to the United States in 1854, the same year reported by her brother, George, in 1910, and also included in his obituary.

Cornelius Falder and Catharine "Kuby" were married in McDonough County, Illinois, on May 7, 1858, by Thompson Chandler, Justice of the Peace.  Marriage Register

They resided in Macomb, McDonough County, for some years, where Cornelius was a barber.  He was included in the 1862 Military Census, birthplace Prussia, occupation barber.  They later lived in Tennessee Township in McDonough County where Cornelius took up farming, returning to Macomb before June 1, 1900.

Cornelius died January 28, 1916.  Catharine died later that same year in Macomb, on August 13. They are both buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Colchester, McDonough County.

i.	Elizabeth Barbara Falder, born April 20, 1860, probably in Macomb.  She died April 22, 1931, at Colchester, McDonough County.  Burial at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
ii.	Mary S. Falder, born December 26, 1861, in Macomb.  She died July 3, 1945, in Macomb, and was buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
iii.	William P. Falder, born July 9, 1864*, probably in Macomb.  He died October 26, 1902, interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
iv.	Cornelius "Neal" Falder, born in 1867, died March 15, 1956, at his home in Beebe, White County, Arkansas.  One obituary reported he was born in Macomb, another reported Tennessee Township, McDonough County.  Burial at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
v.	George A. Falder, born in 1872, died in 1942.  He was buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
vi.	John Falder, died in infancy.
