Due To Heart Failure Wright Dorthy died suddenly Sunday morning from an attack of heart trouble. Mr. Dorthy is a resident of Blandinsville and was formerly of the Eagle neighborhood. He dropped dead when on his return from taking his horse to pasture, south of Blandinsville, and while conversing with a friend. Mr. Dorthy was the youngest child of a family of eight children. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Dorthy. During his childhood he lived on a farm about three miles north of Fountain Green and attended school at Eagle. His wife was Miss Carrie Hainline and for several years they have resided in Blandinsville, where Mr. Dorthy engaged in the buying and selling horses. He is survived by his widow and two brothers, Silas of Macomb and Perry of Aledo and leaves a host of many relatives and friends. The funeral services were held Wednesday.
Wright Dorothy and Miss Carrie Hainline were married at Blandinsville on September 1, 1892. Henry J. Boatman, V.D.M., Minister of the M. E. Church, performed the nuptials. Witnesses were Mrs. E. F. Boatman and Harry F. Boatman. Carrie Hainline was born near Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois, on April 16, 1873, the daughter of Henry and Sarah Hainline. She died March 11, 1950, and was buried in Glade Cemetery in Blandinsville. The location of Wright Dorothy's burial undetermined. |
