Joseph Ambrose Cuba, January 26, 1877 - 1953, son of George Cuba & Margaret Ellis Snearly, was probably born in Tennessee Township, McDonough County, Illinois.

About 1901 he married Mable Edith (or Edith Mable) Reid, 1879-1959, daughter of William M. Reid and Mary Emma Curtis.  Mable was probably born in Chalmers Township, McDonough County.

Ambrose's older brother, Philip, married Mable's sister, Mary Elisabeth.  See also Philip H. Bonn, Ambrose and Philip's first cousin, who married a third Reid sister, Nellie.

Ambrose and Mable had three sons:

i. Raymond R. Cuba, born about 1905.
 
ii. Delbert Cuba, born about 1916.
 
iii. William Cuba, 1921-1971, burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
