WILLIAM E. CALLIHAN
1870-1929
MALINDA M. HARDING
1869-1908
MRS. ELIZABETH C. DOOLITTLE
1870-1966

William E. Callihan, also known as Ed, was the son of Simon T. Callihan and Margaret A. Williams.  He was born July 24, 1870, probably in Hancock Township, Hancock County, Illinois.

On November 6, 1889, William married Malinda M. Harding, daughter of George W. Harding and Eliza Ellis.

William and Malinda lived in Tennessee Township, McDonough County, Illinois, and also Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois.  Malinda died on October 20, 1908, at Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois, and was buried at Majorville Cemetery, Hancock Township.  They had no children. Follow the link to Malinda to view marriage documents and Malinda's obituary.

William married Mrs. Elizabeth C. Doolittle on February 24, 1910.  J. E. Taylor, Minister of the M. E. Church performed the nuptials.  Elizabeth was born in Scotland in 1870.  Attempts to determine her maiden name have been fruitless.

William and Elizabeth lived for some years in Tennessee Township.  There are records of land purchases and sales in sections 17 and 18.  They had one baby who died in 1913 at the age of two weeks, burial location undetermined.

William died February 8, 1929, at Galesburg and was buried near his parents at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Colchester, McDonough County.  He left all of his personal property to Elizabeth.  After her death, William's brother and sisters were to inherit, but Elizabeth outlived them all.  She died in 1966 and was also interred at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
